What 5 Factors Determine Your Credit Score
What 5 Factors Determine Your Credit Score What 5 Factors Determine Your Credit Score? What 5 Factors Determine Your Credit Score? If you have a bad credit score, the way to fix it isnt a mystery! Just take a look at these five factors and figure out where you need to improve.Your credit score was important in 2018. And guess what? Itâs going to continue being important in 2019. Whether youâre shopping for an online loan, applying for a credit card, looking to rent an apartment, or even applying for car insurance, your credit score is going to be vital. With so much riding on your creditworthiness, a lousy score is something youre going to want to fix pronto. But itâs not always obvious what the best way to fix your credit score is.Thatâs because your credit score isnât based off just one thing. Your credit score is based on the information in your credit reports, which are compiled by the three major credit rating agencies. That information is broken down into five major categories that determine whether your score is great, good, or bad.Once you know a littl e bit more about these five factors are and how you can better manage them, youâll be on your way to becoming the 2019 Credit Score Champion! Payment history. This is the big one. Itâs also the one you were probably already aware of. If youâre not paying your bills, itâs going to reflect poorly on your credit score. At 35 percent, itâs worth over a third of your total score, more than any other single factor.âWhen trying to improve your score, the number one factor is ensuring that your payments are paid on time and as agreed,â explained Nathalie Noisette, owner of Credit Conversion (@credconversion). âSince payment history accounts for 297.5 points of your score, Id pretty much do whatever it takes to make sure that those payments were in on time.âWith that being said, she added, automating payments ensures that your bills are getting paid and you dont run the risk of forgetting to pay. The number one reasons most of my clients dont pay is not because they dont hav e the money, its because they dont have the memory.Automating payments is a good tool. As a precautionary measure, I would also advise setting up alerts. When your bill is due, daily balance updates and even changes to your score are all good alerts to be in the know of.âAmounts owed. The amount of debt you actually owe is the next most important factor, worth a little less than a third of your total score.âThe second most important factor used in determining a credit score is how much of your available lines of credit you actually use,â outlined RJ Mansfield (@DebtAssassin1), consumerâs rights advocate and author of Debt Assassin: A Black Ops Guide to Cleaning Up Your Credit.âThis determines thirty percent of your score. You can pay your bills on time forever and still have a poor credit score because you carry too much debt.âAnother sub-factor within your amounts owed is your credit utilization ratio. This measures how much of your available credit youre currently usin g. In order to maximize your score, try to keep your open revolving balances under 30 percent of your total credit limit.Length of credit history. If owing too much in debt is a drag on your credit score, surely the smartest move would be to never take on any debt at all, right? Wrong!15 percent of your credit score is determined by the length of your credit history. The longer, the better, which means not having any credit history at all is not a good thing for your score. But this also doesnt mean that you need decades of credit use to have a good score.âA short credit history can be great as long as youâve made your payments on time,â advised financial coach and author Karen Ford.It does mean, however, that closing lines of credit isnt always the best choice.âIt usually does not make sense to close out credit cards because you want to establish a long credit history,â warned Alissa Todd, financial advisor with The Wealth Consulting Group (@WealthCG).Once youve paid an ol d credit card off, its probably a good idea to keep the card open. This is especially true for older cards that youve had open for a long time.Just make sure that you dont end up using it! Giving in to that temptation and racking up additional debt could end up undoing all your hard work.Credit mix.The last two factors are worth 10 percent each. One of those factors is âcredit mix.â So what does that mean?âCredit mix isnât nearly as weighted as the other factors,â explained Jacob Dayan, CEO of Community Tax, LLC (@communitytaxllc). âHowever, if you want to further improve your credit score to earn the lowest interest rates or top credit cards, youâll want to mix it up with different loans, like auto, home mortgage loans, different types of credit cards, etc.âNew credit inquiries.OK, now whatâs this one?Well, every time you apply for a personal loan, auto loan, mortgage, or credit card from a traditional lender, the lender will run a credit check on your applicatio n. This results in hard inquiry being listed on your report.Hard inquiries usually ding your score, but the effect wont last that long. Still, why would you risk any unnecessary harm to your score? If you dont need credit, dont apply for it.âNew credit is a little complicated and requires some further research on your own,â Dayan suggested. âBut, the best way to improve it is to only open lines of credit as needed. If you open too many lines of credit within a short time, it can signal that youâre in financial distress and need to borrow money.âMost short-term bad credit loansâ"like payday loans, title loans, cash advancesâ"dont result in hard credit inquiries. This is why theyre also known as no credit check loans. But dont be fooled: there are plenty of other reasons to avoid these products. Some bad credit installment loans, meanwhile, will result in a soft inquiry on your credit, but that wont affect your score. You can learn more about the difference between hard a nd soft credit inquiries in this post. But wait, thereâs more!Itâs not just your actions that can have an effect on your credit score.âIf you cosigned a loan or are married and hold a joint credit account, it is important to realize that your credit behavior does affect your joint account holder and vice versa,â warned Todd. Now that you know the five credit score factors and what you can do to improve them, youâre all set to tackle your credit-related resolutions in the new year. May your credit score reach 2019!(But actually the highest score is 850 so youâll probably be shooting for something closer to that.)To learn more about credit scores, check out these related posts and articles from OppLoans:A Brief History of Credit ScoresWhat Are the Side Effects of Bad Credit? How to Build Credit When You Have No Credit at AllNo Credit Card? Pharmaceutical Companies Free Essays
Questions for Review 1. Pharmaceutical companies do have a responsibility to distribute drugs for a low cost in developing and poorer countries. Africaââ¬â¢s GDP, and per capita income is very low so they cannot afford to buy top quality medicines. We will write a custom essay sample on Pharmaceutical Companies or any similar topic only for you Order Now One main argument for this approach is the AIDS epidemic in Africa. A main argument against this is that the treatment for AIDS is very expensive to provide to a whole country for free. 2. The principal arguments of pharmaceutical companies that oppose making exceptions to IPR law for developing countries are national treatment that is equal of foreign and domestic nationals. Most-favored-nation treatment and the equal treatment of all WTO members. Also, technological progress. One last argument is how to provide adequate protection for this, and enforcing it. The arguments by NGOs and others to relax IPR laws are to end trade pressure on poor countries in health care industry disputes. 3. I would expect South Africaââ¬â¢s decision to levy duties on drug imports from western nations to have a negative impact on the international distribution of drugs to South Africa. If it is already expensive and hard to get drugs to AIDS patients in Africa, making them more expensive will not help. . In my opinion, I feel like this was an appropriate change of policy because it did lower prices on drugs. Some negative ramifications of this resolutions is that the price wouldnââ¬â¢t drop low enough. 5. I do not think it was necessary to relax IPR rules in order to ensure that adequate supplies of AIDS medications would be available for distribution in the developing world because the US took initiative to fix high drug prices and low-quality health infrastructures. 6. MNCââ¬â¢s have an ethical responsibility in providing funding to international organizations like the global fund to help cure AIDS How to cite Pharmaceutical Companies, Papers

William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare-Romeo and Juliet-Who or what was to blame for their deaths? Essay In this assignment I will discuss who was to blame for Romeo and Juliets death. To get a clear idea of each aspect, such as fate, chance, notorious feuds, adolescent passion and other characters influences, I will explore and investigate the language, social issues and historical values of each argument. The famous William Shakespeare between 1594 and 1595 wrote Romeo and Juliet. Set in 16th century Verona, a city in northern Italy, where a brutal feud between the Capulets and the Montagues were blazing. Romeo, a Montague; Juliet, a Capulet fell in love Secrecy, passion then tragedy followed, but who or what was to blame? The majority of people back in Shakespeares day believed in fate and that our lives were controlled by something outside ourselves. They believe we were controlled by fate or fortune. Some people, even nowadays believe in fate and fortune and whatever happens is meant to happen. The Elizabethans thought that every tiny little event or action pushed everything else along in a chain of events. People think they have a choice in what they do, but they dont. So when Romeo and Juliet meet at the ball, it is meant to be, and thy are meant to fall in love. We will write a custom essay on William Shakespeare-Romeo and Juliet-Who or what was to blame for their deaths? specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Romeo and Juliet are referred to as star crossed lovers which means that their destiny is written in the stars, like a horoscope nowadays. It means that they are meant to be together. Friar Lawrence warns that violent delights have violent ends, which means that the violent feud between the Montagues and the Capulets will bring an end to Romeo and Juliets lives. Romeo is aware of fate and seems to be a strong believer of it. He often refers to the stars or fortune to describe his feelings. He says his future is hanging in the stars, this means that his future has already been decided and is hidden in the stars. He doesnt know whats in store for him in the future. Romeo also refers himself as fortunes fool, which means he is unlucky and isnt in good fortune. The overall play makes us feel that theres a sense of inevitability about it. In a way, we feel helpless and we feel we want to change certain events so that the ending could have been happier, but the play is about fate and fortu ne in order to adapt to the superstitious Elizabethan audience. Instead of fate and fortune, maybe chance had a part to play in Romeo and Juliets death. Maybe the whole play was bad luck or just a series of unexplained accidents, with the accidental meeting of Peter carrying the Capulets invitation list which resulted in Romeo going to his enemies ball and meeting his one true love, Juliet. Fate or chance? Or what about the non-delivery of Friar Lawrences letter informing Romeo of Juliets plan but of course the letter never arrived which resulted in both their deaths. Fate or chance? Or was Mercutios death just an unhappy chance? Elizabethan audiences were very superstitious and only believed in fate, fortune, chance and religion, which is not the case in the 21st century. In our day and age people tend to believe in science and proven facts rather than fate and fortune although religion still plays a huge part in peoples lives. Puppy love and adolescent passion could these have been the cause of Romeo and Juliets sad end? In order to marry Romeo, Juliet had to disobey her parents because her parents wanted her to marry Paris and Romeo was a Montague so the marriage was highly forbidden. Maybe it was Romeos fault that he acted too hastily asking Juliet to marry him so suddenly or when he rushed back to Verona when he heard of Juliets supposed death when he should have thought about the situation more clearly. Romeo also acted violently without thinking when he killed Tybalt and later Paris, trying to avenge Mercutios death. .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .postImageUrl , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:hover , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:visited , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:active { border:0!important; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:active , .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1 .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u314ccdedad03851aca89e2a108cf83f1:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Who is to blame for the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet?à EssayJuliet was not allowed to marry Romeo because her father would never agree and would be insulted at the refusal to marry Paris. At this point in history, Verona was a patriarchal city and fathers had virtual control over their daughters. They may give their daughters to whomever they see fit to and would feel deeply insulted if their daughters chose otherwise. Juliet experienced her fathers wrath when he said, go with Paris to Saint Peters church or I will drag thee on a hurdle hither. This quote shows how fathers in 16th century Verona treated their daughters. Girls had to respect their fathers wishes and do as they were told. Romeo and Juliet had to keep their love secret or risk their families finding out. Romeo did not want to kill Tybalt because he was going marry Juliet and become part of their family so Romeo knew it was like killing his own family. Lord and Lady Capulet and Lord and Lady Montague kept the famous feud going but could have easily stopped the whole thing as they were the heads of the family so had most authority. The feud between the Montagues and the Capulets shows us about the social and historical values of the 16th century, we can also see that lots of things have changed since then, such as we dont go round fighting other families and killing each other without being imprisoned. The feud forced Romeo and Juliet to keep their love secret and this caused a lot of avoidable problems, for example, when Tybalt wanted to fight Romeo but Romeo couldnt because he didnt want to hurt Juliet. Tybalt thought that Romeo was just a Montague so he should be slain. Both families exercised hatred and prejudice against each other and this is demonstrated through Shakespeares language. Shakespeare tries to portray Tybalt as an aggressive person who is full of hate, for example Tybalt says, what drawn talk of peace? I hate the word, as I hate hell, all Montagues and thee this quote shows the audience that Tybalt is heartless and arrogant. Sampson, a servant to the Capulet family says, a dog of the house of Montague moves me, this shows that even the servants have no respect for the Montagues. Mercutios attitude to the quarrels made the situation worse. Mercutio calls Tybalt a rat-catcher before he is killed by him, which blatantly aggravated the situation. Mercutio also mocks Tybalt by saying good king of cats, nothing but one of your nine lives, this shows that Mercutio just thought it was a game. Tybalt, more than anyone kept the hatred alive; he was always looking for trouble. The Prince should have acted earlier to stop the feud. It was unjust of him to banish Romeo from Verona when the fight was Tybalts fault. At the start of Romeo and Juliets romance, the nurse was very encouraging of them by passing and carrying messages between he two lovers. As soon as Romeo was banished from Verona for killing Tybalt, the nurse hastily changes her outlook on the situation and Juliet feels quite betrayed. The nurse tells Juliet to forget Romeo and marry Paris by saying, I think it best you married with the County, and praising Paris saying, o, hes a lovely gentleman but slanting Romeo by saying, Romeos a dishclout to him. Friar Lawrence marries Romeo and Juliet in the hope that it would heal the wounds of the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets but this decision was naà ¯Ã ¿Ã ½ve and wrong. Friar Lawrence tries to warn Romeo of his suddenness but Romeo didnt listen. Shakespeare writes some of Friar Lawrences lines so that they rhyme and sometimes they are proverbs to make him sound older and wiser towards Romeo so that he will do what he says is the right thing to do. Although Friar Lawrence is a holy man who was trying to give righteous advice to Romeo, he provides Juliet with a potion to help fake her death, which caused a lot of confusion and pain to Romeo. His intentions were good but his actions were wrong. .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .postImageUrl , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:hover , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:visited , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:active { border:0!important; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:active , .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u9107374fea7f7a21fb199094edffecdf:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Another quarrel between the Montague and Capulet families EssayI personally think that the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets was to blame for Romeo and Juliets death due to the fact, they fell in love at first sight and then when they found out they were meant to hate each other, everything started to go wrong due to the secrecy. One bad action led to another, a bit like fate, when one event pushes another along. It was a bit of everyones fault but because the feud was the main reason for the secrecy and deceit, I blame it over all the influences. I think that the Elizabethan audience would have believed that it was all down to fate because Romeo and Juliets destiny was written in the stars and they were put on this earth to end the feud between the two families, and they did.

A Sample of Amateur Writing
A Sample of Amateur Writing A Sample of Amateur Writing A Sample of Amateur Writing By Maeve Maddox At a recent writersââ¬â¢ conference I heard a successful self-published author say, ââ¬Å"Readers are not looking for great writing; theyââ¬â¢re looking for a great story.â⬠Does that mean that taking pains over grammar, diction, and syntax is a waste of time? Certainly not! Just because readers are not looking for ââ¬Å"great writingâ⬠doesnââ¬â¢t mean that novelists shouldnââ¬â¢t be expected to produce good writing. Few writers have what it takes to produce ââ¬Å"great writing,â⬠but even a great storyteller requires professional writing skills to get the story across to the reader. The difference between amateur writing and professional writing is rewriting. Here is an extract from a self-published work. The fact that the book was self-published is not so important as the fact that the author published it before it was ready. Here the author describes a church interior: It had hat shelves and coat racks along both sides. There were double doors leading into the sanctuary, which was plain but neat. There was a carpeted main aisle that ran from the doors to the altar. There were neat rows of oak pews on both sides of the aisle. Secondary aisles ran along both sides of the church between the pews and the windows. On the raised platform in front, there was an altar, a lectern, and behind that were two rows of chairs for the choir. There was a fairly new piano on the left side of the platform The excerpt contains ten clauses, eight of which have was or were for the main verb. It contains 101 words, eight of them repeated at least once: aisle/s (3), pew/s (2), altar (2), rows (2), doors (2), platform (2), sides (3), neat (2). Of the seven sentences, four begin with There and one begins with It. The sentence that begins, ââ¬Å"It had hat shelves,â⬠produces a double take in the reader because the ââ¬Å"had hatâ⬠looks like a typographical error. One paragraph like this every hundred pages might not trouble a reader, but this sample is typical of the book. Word choice is unimaginative, and passages abound that contain nothing to connect the scene to the story. Here is a description written by a professional novelist (P.D. James). The setting is the interior of a clinic for mental patients in a building that used to be a Georgian mansion: Behind the reception kiosk and with windows facing the square was the general office, part of which had been partitioned to form a small filing-room for the current medical records. Next to the general office was Miss Bolamââ¬â¢s room and, beyond that, the E.C.T. suite with its treatment-room, nursesââ¬â¢ duty-room and male and female recovery bays. This suite was separated by a hallway from the medical staff cloakroom, clerical staff lavatories and the domestic assistantââ¬â¢s pantry. At the end of the hallway was the locked side door, seldom used except by members of the staff who had been working late and who did not want to give Nagle the trouble of undoing the more complicated locks, bolts and chains on the front door. Iââ¬â¢m not holding the second passage up as ââ¬Å"great writing.â⬠It resembles the previous passage in some ways. The word roomââ¬âalone and in compoundsââ¬âoccurs five times; door and hallway occur twice each; was is used four times. But what James does that the other writer doesnââ¬â¢t do is vary language and syntax and relate the description to the story and the characters. The first writer could have done the same thing. Whether readers are looking for it or not, few novelists are capable of producing great writing. Anyone who aspires to publication, however, should know the difference between amateur writing and professional writing. Itââ¬â¢s revision. Want to improve your English in five minutes a day?
